Q:  Tell us a little about yourself.

A:  My name is Emily Healy. I am married to Justin for 10 years this July. We have three kids, ages 8, 6, and 4, all three attend Wichita Collegiate. I attended the University of Kansas for undergraduate nursing school and Duke University for my Nurse Practitioner master’s program. Our family loves all things sports! My kids all play multiple sports, and I enjoy playing USTA tennis. We also enjoy cheering on KU and Duke basketball! Our family lived in Wichita for 5 years, where I worked as a nurse and Nurse Practitioner. We then had the opportunity to move to London, UK, where we lived for 5.5 years! We have been back in Wichita for three years and absolutely love it here.

Q:  What is your favorite part of working for Simply Hygiene?

A:  My favorite part of working at simply hygiene is collaborating with a wonderful team of women to give back to our community. Learning the behind the scenes of how the organization operates has been incredible. Learning about the schools and community organizations we serve has shown me how important our mission is.

Q:  Hobbies and interests.

A:  My biggest hobby is playing tennis. I played in high school and picked it back up as an adult. I also spend a lot of time watching my kids play sports and spending time outside with them. We also love to travel; favorite spots include Colorado for skiing and Rosemary Beach!

Q:  What do you wish more people knew about Simply Hygiene?

A:  I wish more people knew how many hygiene items we give to the community, last year we gave over 2 million items! I also wish more people knew that hygiene items are not covered u see government assistance, so therefore are often unaffordable to many. The organization continues to grow and strives to serve as many Kansans as possible. It is exciting to be a part of a growing organization that is filling such an essential need.
